From Elmer Crowell decoys and bird carving demonstrations to trains and games, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy at an open house on Presidents Day.
The Crowell exhibit presents donations for the Crowell Barn that once housed the workshop of Harwich’s famous bird carver Anthony Elmer Crowell. The barn has been recently reconstructed on the grounds of the museum. On display are the generous gifts of decoys, paintings, photographs, ephemera, tools and more.
Museum exhibits will also feature a 17’x20’ railroad display with a working HO scale model layout of Harwich and a display about cranberry culture. Visitors can also check out bird carving demonstrations and a scavenger hunt for kids.
Event is free.
